A Meander with Matty

I decided to go a bit off course for this photo set as I normally base my ideas and opinions in the documentary photography bracket. However, I really enjoy photographing people in general because of how everyone reacts differently to the camera and how a person effects location.

Recently, I have photographed places that are due for regeneration in the beautiful city that is Manchester. These areas of town are a strong focal point for me because the idea that there are derelict, beautiful red brick houses (or homes for that matter) that are just waiting to be knocked down for the council to just build on top of again really knocks me sick. Even little back alleys that you wouldn't normally choose to walk down 'cause they look a bit dodgy have their beauty and I thought it would be nice for these areas to have a 'face'. For me, a beautiful place deserves a beautiful face.
